Engineering Mechanics and Machine Elements
Engineering Drawing
The educational objective of the “Engineering Drawing” course is the presentation of specific applications and the use of real workpieces and standard parts.
Cutaway models
Engineering animations such as cutaway models are ideally suited to representing processes and functions. GUNT uses up-to-date original parts for its cutaway models.
Dimensional metrology
The dimensional metrology practice kits are designed for practical training in the metalworking trades. They include various items of test equipment and test objects.
Fasteners and machine parts
Components of a technical application that fulfil certain functions in structures are known as machine elements. Machine elements can be both single components and assemblies.
Assembly projects
This chapter deals with the process of familiarisation with component and their functions, reading and understanding engineering drawings or operating instructions, and familiarisation with technical terminology and language.
Maintenance
Typical maintenance methods and testing procedures are offered as learning content. Some of the exercises take a lot of time to complete and amount to substantial project work. Demands are made on technical skills.
Machinery diagnosis
The teaching systems familiarise trainees with the specific methods of monitoring plant / machinery condition, such as the early detection of bearing or gear damage.
Automation and process control engineering
With the aid of automation and process control engineering, processes are monitored and influenced as they happen. This is enabled by the measurement and control of variables such as flow rate, pressure, temperature, and concentration.
